Battery health is the whole deal
On a used electric ride, the battery determines whether it is a bargain or a liability. Ask its age, how it was stored and charged, and have the capacity tested rather than trusting a dashboard reading.
Mechanical checks
- Brakes: pad thickness, lever feel, cable condition
- Tires: tread, sidewall cracking, correct pressure
- Frame: cracks or repairs, especially near welds
- Wheels: play in the bearings or hub
Electrical checks
Test the motor under load on a hill, not just on flat ground. Check that the controller delivers power smoothly without cutting out, and confirm the lights, horn and display all work.
Parts and service availability
An unsupported model becomes unrepairable. Check that parts are still available before you buy.
Why inspected trade ins are safer
Our trade in units are assessed by the same technicians who service them, so the battery and brakes have been checked by someone who knows the model.
